For your consideration, we present our unique and rare 1981 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date. At a glance, this Oyster Perpetual Date is usually considered common among enthusiasts alike. However, don’t like this Oyster Perpetual Date fool you. Most Oyster Perpetual Date of this era generally came on an Oyster bracelet. However this two-tone Oyster Perpetual Date is not only on jubilee but this particular jubilee bracelet was produced in Mexico. Due to tariff’s regulation changes in the 70’s, Rolex outsourced manufacturing to other countries for a brief period of time making these vintage timepieces more desirable.
The bracelet shows wear, replaced links, and stretch (please see photos). Additionally, there is a hairline scratch at 7 o’clock. Lastly, date change is approximately 15min before 12.
Note: Crown, Bezel, and Bracelet does not seem to be original to the watch. However, they may have been replaced with original parts. Please view photos carefully to assess.
